The San Francisco Film Society will present a benefit premiere of Neil Young’s new film CSNY Déjà Vu, with an in-person appearance by the music legend/political activist/filmmaker at 7:30 pm on Thursday, July 17 at the Sundance Kabuki Cinemas.Outraged by the war in Iraq and compelled to speak out before the 2006 midterm elections, musical group Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young launched its 29-city Freedom of Speech tour. In 2008, as a pivotal presidential election looms, Neil Young presents an impassioned document of those performances and the strong reactions—both positive and negative—they inspired.
