Description
The first of four interdisciplinary panels of the Fall 2010 series, "San Francisco Bay: Where Environment, Art and Science Meet" will take a look at how the disciplines of art and science inform and inspire each other. With images and conversation, the event will examine the impact of climate change, wetland restoration and pollution and how art may play a role in understanding and responding to these issues. Will Travis, Executive Director of the Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC); Robert Dawson, who teaches art at Stanford University; and Linda Gass, an artist in residence at Cubberley Studios will host the discussion. The event will be held in the Palo Alto Art Center Auditorium at 7pm on Thursday, Sept. 16.
