Pop quiz, hot shot: What’s faster than a cherry red Lambourghini Countache Quartravore (this is not a trace I drew that, don’t doubt me ever)? The answer is that there is nothing. Except maybe the SAN FRANCISCO BACON TAKEDOWN, THAT IS!Just like last year, and the year before that, I’m bringing the Takedown back to SF. Each team of local home cooks gets a whopping 15lbs of Hormel Black Label Bacon (sponsoring!) to blow our collective consciousness. We’re all doofuses for bacon, but I’m looking for you to make something truly spectacular… So bring your finest bacon recipe on over, and let’s all judge this year’s Takedown “CHAMPIGNON”!!! (that is a actual french word.)
The prizes are kind of totally worth it: Analon, Le Creuset, Wusthof, Microplane- and even a YEAR’S SUPPLY of Hormel Black Label Bacon!!!
