Pinot Noir ($18.00)
In a cooler region Pinot Noir yields notes of red cherry, cranberry and pomegranate, from Burgundy you also get notes of stones and leaves. As you move to warmer climate the wine brings a rich cherry pie and red plum character. If Burgundy and California were to have kids it would be Oregon in regards to Pinot Noir.

Syrah/Shiraz ($16.00)
Northern Rhone produces some of the most distinctive Syrah in the world, blackberry, black plum, black pepper, bacon fat and fresh leather. Australia gives a wine laden with blackberry crème liqueur, black olive and chocolate. Washington State brings a hybrid character to Syrah with its rich fruit and accents of tar and smoke.

The model for Cabernet around the world, Bordeaux represents the classic varietal profile of cassis, tobacco leaf and cedar. Two variations on California Cabernet; one from a mountain winery noted for their Bordeaux styled wine and the other from vineyards in the Napa proper with lush ripe black fruit in the current Napa tradition.
