Description

At age 87, has worked with world renowned jazz artists like Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bechet, Charlie Parker, Bud Powell and Sarah Vaughan. He has released numerous albums, his most recent being "Roy-Alty" in 2011. He performs with his band, the Roy Haynes Fountain of Youth Band, which includes Martin Bejarano on piano and John Shifflett on bass.
