Description

Roderick James, better known as Roddy Radiation, came to fame during the punkish late '70s in England. His group, the Specials, would be the originators of the Two-Tone genre that combined the bounce of ska with the grit of punk. Penning and singing period classics like "Concrete Jungle" and "Bragging and Trying Not To Lie," Roddy possessed a stage presence that mixed Jerry Lee Lewis with Sid Vicious. Although, the Specials would open for the massive punk band, The Clash, they would soon split and James would pursue new projects. His most recent musical direction has been leading the Skabilly Rebels, another genre-defying project in this trailblazer's career.
