Description
San Jose Taiko presents the Rhythm Journey touring program in San Jose at the School of Arts and Culture at Mexican Heritage Plaza.The one-hour educational family show starts at 4:00pm, including explanations of the instruments and history of taiko. A lucky few will be selected from the audience to play taiko onstage.
The two-hour concert at 8:00pm will be dialogue-free and will include a 15-minute intermission.
Since its formation in 1973, SJT has created a contemporary musical style unlike any other taiko group in the world. SJT has taken the Rhythm Journey tour program to nearly all 50 states as well as Japan, Canada, Mexico, Italy, and the UK.
