Description

The American Dream – such a simple phrase. Yet its power and beauty have inspired hearts and minds the world over for generations.
This season, San Jose Wind Symphony celebrates American Dreams – as expressed in the music of her people. As we dip into the melting pot that is American music, you’ll enjoy jazz and ballet, classical and pop, marches and concertos and everything in between. From Broadway to the Wild West to Gary, Indiana. We invite you to join us for an unforgettable journey into the heart of America.
Our soloist for the first concert is Avguste Antonov, performing George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue.” Mr. Antonov is a dedicated performer of 20th and 21st century American composers and has performed world and US premieres at venues across North America. Over the years, he has worked with composers Carter Pann, Raina Murnak, Matthew Lewis, Till Meyn, Matthew Saunders, Robert Rollin, William Vollinger and others
