Description
Join the University of California Santa Cruz as they host a screening of the documentary, "RFK in the Land of Apartheid: A Ripple of Hope." The film documents the rarely publicized visit to South Africa in June of 1966 during Apartheid. It consists of previously unseen archival footage and interviews in South Africa and the United States, and also explores RFK’s meeting withthe banned leader of the African National Congress, Chief Albert Luthuli, and Kennedy’s own visit to South Africa’s largest black township, Soweto.
