Rooted in jazz traditions laid down by Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington and others, she borrows various elements of folk, R&B and even country to create a captivating hybrid style. A San Jose Jazz favorite, René had a triumphant set at Summer Fest 2012.Join us for this intimate concert with René and her regular, Grammy Award-nominated rhythm section of pianist John Chin, bassist Elias Bailey, and drummer Quentin Baxter.
