Description
Since 1976, OSCAR-nominated, EMMY-winning filmmaker Dorothy Fadiman has been on a remarkable journey, producing twenty documentary films. On September 9th, we will see clips from her work and hear about her journey into filmmaking. She will describe her journey, show film clips of her work, and read from her new book PRODUCING with PASSION: Making Films that Change the World.The films explore many subjects, from the luminous Spirit in every faith (RADIANCE) to progressive education (WHY DO THESE KIDS LOVE SCHOOL?) to the exceptional progress of a woman with spinal cord injury (MOMENT by MOMENT) plus films focusing on women's issues: WOMAN by WOMAN: Hope for the Villages of India, From RISK to ACTION: Women and HIV/AIDS in Ethiopia and a trilogy: FROM the BACK ALLEYS to the SUPREME COURT & BEYOND.
