Copland's great 1944 Pulitzer Prize-winning ballet score was originally for just thirteen instruments. The composer's well-known orchestral suite left out about ten minutes of amazing music, which has recently been restored to the orchestral version; we are proud to present the West Coast premiere of this new version of the complete ballet for full orchestra.
We are also delighted to welcome back Karen Bentley to perform a new Violin Concerto by David Jaffe, whose Whoop for Your Life! received its World Premiere with Redwood Symphony in 1987.
Children under 18, accompanied by an adult, are free.
