Description

PINE BOX BOYS (SF)
If you're a traditional bluegrass purist, and you like your bluegrass soft, quiet, and covered in flowers and bunnies, you might not want to come to this show, nor allow your kids to attend. For this is not your Grandfather's bluegrass. The Pine Box Boys can only be described as "Southern Horrorbilly". Their music is a blend of Americana, bluegrass, rock, metal, layered in dark overtones, and often covered in blood.
The Pine Box Boys are Lester T. Raww (guitar, vocals) Alex "Possum" Carvidi (banjo, vocals), Col. Timothy Leather (bass), and S. "Your Uncle" Dodds (drums).

COLONEL JIMMY & THE BLACKFISH (Sacramento)
Call it what you will; hellbilly countrygrass, outlaw country, country punk, this band promises one thing; "keep it rural"...and to blast your eardrums while doing it. With a fast-growing grassroots fan base reaching world wide, Colonel Jimmy & The Blackfish is known for ignoring standards and has carved out a niche as a hard-driving gang of murderous misfits. The bands musical roots are planted firmly in the moonshine-fueled hellbilly tradition with lyrics rarely offering a moral value yet cleverly composed to convince us to be comfortable with debauchery - think Hank 3 and Devil Makes Three spawned an evil offspring and named it Colonel Jimmy. Their self-titled debut is out now and a must-have CD for any drinking event, campfire, or road trip.
