Description
“The Real World” is the latest work created by San Francisco-based artists Sarah Fateen, Tara Deaton and Jonny Popovich. The three recently concluded internships with Incline Gallery and received their degrees from San Francisco State University. Now, they have begun exploring creative life outside the realm of education.Works exhibited range in mediums from photography and textiles to oil and acrylic paintings, and the artists’ themes differ greatly from one another. Sarah’s fluid acrylic formations mimic color patterns found in San Francisco’s design and architecture. Discussions about traditional gender norms and sexual biases are ignited in Tara's work. And Jonny's vibrant paintings evoke and elaborate upon naturally-created forms.
