LONELY CHRISTOPHER is a poet, playwright, and filmmaker. He is the author of The Mechanics of Homosexual Intercourse, published in Dennis Cooper's Little House on the Bowery series from Akashic Books. His latest poetry chapbook is Crush Dream (Radioactive Moat). He wrote and directed the feature length film MOM (Cavazos Films), which premiered in June at the Distrital Film Festival in Mexico City. He is the also the author, with Robert Snyderman and Christopher Sweeney, of the poetry volume Into (SevenCircle Press). He lives in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn.
DAVID LESTER is a painter, graphic designer, publisher and the guitarist of the band Mecca Normal. His press, Get to the Point Press, publishes novels and chapbooks or graphic design and poetry by community activists; their publication Keys to the Kingdom by Bud Osborn, won the City of Vancouver Book Award. Lester is the author of the book The Gruesome Acts of Capitalism, from which royalties go to the Canadian Centre for Victims of Torture. His graphic novel, The Listener, was nominated by ForeWord Review's 2011 Book of the Year Award. Mecca Normal was named one of 10 Famous Canadians You've Never Heard Of by Canada's national newspaper, The Glode & Mail.
JEAN SMITH is a painter, novelist, lecturer, filmmaker and lead singer of the band Mecca Normal. She is the author of the novels I Can Hear Me Fine and The Ghost of Understanding, and the chapbooks The Family Swan and Other Songs and Two Stories. Her writing appears regularly in Magnet and MungBeing. Kill Rock Stars released a 7" of her spoken word, Carboni Angel and the solo album Jean Smith. With Mecca Normal's David Lester she tours the lecture How Art and Music Can Change the World. Her visual art has been shown at LadyFest, the Fontanelle Gallery in Portland, OR, and within the book The Art of Touring.
AMANDA VERWEY is a cartoonist living in Oakland, California by way of Racine, Wisconsin. After studying Art & Bookmaking at Mills College she went on to author four comic books, Manderz Top Private Diary Vol 1-3 and All Deez Femalez Crawl, in addition to her ongoing blog Amandamakescomics.com. She is currently working on a new serial comic, Bath Salts, to be released in 2013. You can find her in person selling clothes and zines at Down at Lulu's each Thursday. She encourages you to visit.
