Raul Midon combines smooth tenor vocals and flamenco-infused jazz guitar to create a recipe for dynamic soul music. Blind since birth, Midon used music to overcome the challenges of his condition. All of the hard work paid off when he was able to channel his passion into a lucrative career as a background vocalist for Latin artists such as Shakira, Jose Feliciano and Alejandro Sanz. In 2005 he decided to go solo and released State of Mind, proof of where the quest for a more ambitious and eclectic sound can lead.
