Description
Quiet Lightning is a monthly submission-based reading series. It is completely open to the public and we encourage any and everyone to submit!Each reader gets up to 8 minutes. Some only require 2. We feature poetry, slam, rant, short fiction, personal statement, etc. There are no author intros so the focus is always on the written word performed.
This is the third episode. Check out our website @ http://qlightning.wordpress.com to watch videos of past performances. It is an intimate and powerful place for writers—experienced and amateur—to develop their voices and delivery. And it's easy on the audience because no one speaks for too long!
Books are given away for free. There is a free raffle for signed books and anyone subscribed to our blog is entered to win a monthly ticket to see the current play @ American Conservatory Theater.
