shutup, thunder!Quiet Lightning is a monthly submission-based reading series that foregoes author intros for revelations, and nomadic, so time and space cement each occasion. This month we’re meeting in Dolores Park @ 3 for a potluck picnic of poets—free sandwiches, hummus, mint chutney and wine to the first couple dozen, music (bring instruments), and anything else you might want to share (bring your ancient notebooks, bring new poems, bring friends and events to promote, bring cameras, frisbees, bring bocce balls and jumpropes).
At or around 6:30 we will walk up to Mina Dresden Gallery for an onslaught of performances, from fiction to poetry and back again and back (and back again). We will make you dizzy and you will see stars. So many stars! (Stars not pictured.) But we will have blankets and pillows; Mina Dres demands lounging.
