Celebrate the richness of contemporary, original and traditional music of New Orleans featuring the “Queens of New Orleans:” CHELLE! & Friends’ Michelle Jacques, the fabulous Dr. Dee Spencer and “radiatin’ the eighty-eights, Jennifer Jolly. (Narrated Concert.)The 2009 Yerba Buena Gardens Festival, which takes place from May 2 through October 31, features over 100 free events including music, theater, circus, dance, poetry, family festivals and children’s programs with artists from Cuba, Bali, Brazil, Israel, Japan, Mexico, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Spain, Sweden, and other lands. Yerba Buena Gardens is located between Mission Street and Howard Street and 3rd and 4th Streets in downtown San Francisco.
