Description
A Gira is a spiritual work open to the public and based on the Afro-Brazilian tradition of Umbanda. During the ceremony, entities of light are received by initiated mediums to offer a blessing and energetic cleansing. These entities carry a spiritual wisdom which is associated with specific qualities of consciousness and Orixas (energies found in nature).During the ritual, sacred rhythm, song and dance prepare the space for the mediums to invoke their spiritual guides. The public may consult the guides and receive the benefit of their wisdom for cleansing, balancing, harmony and blessings.
Templo Guaracy da Terra (TGT) is a spiritual, non-profit organization that follows the Afro-Brazilian tradition of Umbanda. TGT is affiliated with Templo Guaracy do Brasil (TGB) in Sao Paulo and has been in the Bay area since 1994.
