Description
On August 17th three young Russian women--poets, performers and artists--will be sentenced to spend years in prison for 40 seconds peaceful performance.They dared to protest Putin by doing a "punk prayer" in the Russian Orthodox Church. They have been in prison since February. Artists and performers over the world spoke up in their defense--Madonna, Sting, Yoko Ono, Bjork and others.
August 17th is the GLOBAL FREE PUSSY RIOT DAY. Here is the link: http://www.freepussyriot.org/. Bring ski-masks and wear colorful clothes. It is a peaceful protest against totalitarian regimes and for the freedom of speech.
