Description

Please join us for a special conversation with Nancy Northup, President of the Center for Reproductive Rights. Hosted by Julie Chaiken and Gina Pell, the evening will include cocktails, conversation, and an auction of artworks from prominent Bay Area artists hosted by Anthony Luzi and Electric Works Gallery.

Thirty-seven years after Roe v. Wade, Congress is fiercely debating whether women can use their own money to purchase health insurance policies that cover abortion services. Meanwhile, outside of the U.S., the Center for Reproductive Rights is winning groundbreaking cases before national courts and international human rights bodies recognizing governments’ responsibility to ensure access to abortion services, including funding abortions for low-income women. Please join us as Nancy Northup discusses strategies in promoting reproductive rights as human rights and how they affect reproductive rights law and policy at home and abroad.
