Description

This lecture will discuss International Orange, a public art exhibition that employs contemporary art to interrogate and reflect upon our relationship to the history of Fort Point. John Zarobell is Assistant Professor of International Studies and Program Chair of European Studies at the University of San Francisco. Formerly, he held the positions of assistant curator at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and associate curator at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Curating exhibitions has allowed him to engage with artists as diverse as Frida Kahlo, Edvard Munch, Edouard Manet, and Kerry James Marshall.

Parking and Transportation: Limited parking available. A free shuttle from USF’s main campus (departing from Golden Gate and Parker Avenues 20 and 50-min prior to the start of the lecture, as well as transportation back to main campus afterward).

Info: This event is free and open to the public. Additional information and future lecture dates are available at http://usfca.edu/artsci/presidio/events/.
