Description

2013 was a busy year for California’s energy, economy and environment. A nuclear plant shut down and the state passed a law on fracking that frustrated industry and environmentalists. California also linked arms with Oregon, Washington and British Columbia on a program to promote renewable power and put a price on carbon pollution. The state fared well in court, winning a case that upheld a law requiring oil companies to make cleaner fuels. Join a discussion about the important energy milestones of 2013 and what lies ahead in 2014.

Craig Miller, Senior Editor, KQED Climate Watch
