The Portola Art Gallery presents "Views from the Trail" -- photographs from Frances Freyberg's favorite Bay Area hikes.

The exhibit features landscapes and seascapes, as well as wildflowers and wildlife, from across the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Highlights include fields of wildflowers at La Honda Creek Open Space Preserve and Point Reyes National Seashore; butterflies and newts at Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve; turquoise waters at Point Lobos State Natural Reserve; and fog weaving through the Santa Cruz mountains at Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve. Other featured trails include those at Big Basin Redwoods State Park, Huddart Park, McNee Ranch State Park, Muir Woods National Monument, and Pearson-Arastradero Preserve.

In addition to signed and framed photographs, there will also be a variety of photo cards for sale.

Frances Freyberg of Menlo Park specializes in portraits of people, wildlife, nature and architecture from her travels to more than 70 countries.
