MENLO PARK, Calif. -- The Portola Art Gallery presents "In High Places" -- watercolor paintings by Yvonne Newhouse of San Mateo. The exhibit highlights Yvonne’s paintings from her many treks though the high Sierra. She captures the essence of these adventures while in the back country for up to 10 days at a time; then at home, she uses photo references to complete the paintings in her studio.

A reception for the artist will be held on Saturday, October 5, from 1-4pm.
