Pooch Hotel, a 5-star hotel and day care exclusively for dogs that places a premium on convenience, extraordinary customer care, superior facilities and outstanding services, will celebrate its Grand Opening with free tours, discounts, and a silent auction with great prizes. Visitors are encouraged to bring their four-legged friends! Over opening weekend a local artist will be available to draw portraits of owners and their dogs, Palo Alto's Destino Spa will provide human and canine massages and Los Alto's Pinky's Nail Salon offers manicures and pawdicures throughout the weekend. Cheese and wine provided by Delectus Winery, beer provided by Gordon Biersch and iced tea provided by ITO EN will be served from 4 p.m. till 6 p.m. both days. Pooch Hotel's doggy beer, Pooch Pilsner, and gourmutt treats provided by 5 Paw Bakery of Los Altos will also be on hand. Pooch Hotel will donate all proceeds to the Humane Society of Silicon Valley and Pets Unlimited of San Francisco.
