Poetry Unbound is a monthly reading series dedicated to presenting new work in a broad range of styles and genres, and to bringing together writers from different circles and communities, to strengthen and unite. To start off the new year, we thought it’d be great to have a poetry love-fest, 2014-style. To help us out with that, street poet and unofficial Berkeley poet laureate Julia Vinograd will whip up a love feast with her ardent words. SF poet César Love (of course!), editor of the Haight Ashbury Literary Journal, will build a house of love with beams made to last. And genderqueer Oakland musician Rybree Tree will speak and sing until love reigns o’er all of us.
Poetry Unbound presents passionate wordsmiths on the first Sunday of each month, with a brief open mic, at the Art House Gallery in Berkeley. Hosted by Oakland writers Clive Matson and Richard Loranger.
