"A project that began in the fall of 2007, the first members of Phonofield met shortly after Radiohead's release of In Rainbows. Spurred on by a common conviction to create music that was fresh yet true to their millenial rock sensibilities, Phonofield have built a unique yet nostalgic sound. They have been compared to Radiohead, Sigur Ros, Mogwai, and Explosions in the Sky with a classically-informed perspective on experimental rock. In short, they are a fierce, dynamic post rock band.
