Description
Phil Gates was born in Chicago Ill., and was raised with Blues music. Brought up in a musical household (Phil's father was a trumpet player), Phil got settled in on the guitar at about the age of twelve. Since then, Phil has been busy in the Music Industry. Recently The Phil Gates Band won against twenty great bands in the Southern California Blues Society International Blues Challenge (IBC) Regional Competition November 15th. This will enable the Phil Gates Band to compete in The 2009 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee.More Info
