Description
Some press about Phantogram:"Phantogram is one part Josh Carter (guitar) and one part Sarah Barthel (keyboard). This talented duo from New York have been friends since kids but only started making music together in 2007. I'm still not sure exactly what 'street beat/psyche pop' is, but these two are really good at it. On initial listen you might think hip-hop, but today's Song of the Day only leads you down that path for a few seconds before inserting a nasty guitar riff and the sweet shoegaze lyrics of Barthel over chilled synths and organic beats. Their unique sound makes you want to dance and close your eyes at the same time and leaves little wonder that the band has opened for talented acts like Ra Ra Riot, Yeasayer, and The Noisettes. This is one of the most surprisingly great bands you'll hear all summer; give them a listen." --KEXP

THE FRAIL
The Frail creates sensual, vulnerable and provocative electronic pop music that has the potential to appeal to many generations. With vocalist Daniel Lannon's (former lead singer of The Faraday Effect) smooth, stylishly sincere, warm falsetto vocals, and co-writing, guitar and production efforts of Kevin Xiu, bass from Daniel Sams, and drums from Tim Sams this band has the potential to be what the Eurythmics were to the eighties.
