Description

Patrick Ball is one of the premier Celtic harp players in the world and a captivating spoken word artist. His harp is a splendid recreation of the legendary Celtic harp, a 1,000-year-old instrument closely connected to the history of Ireland, to its mythology, and to the joys and sorrows of its people. Come hear its rare, exquisite sound, listen to tales of its tumultuous history, and experience firsthand its fabled capacity to soothe, beguile, and to lead listeners into the realms of the imagination. (Narrated concert.)

The 2009 Yerba Buena Gardens Festival, which takes place from May 2 through October 31, features over 100 free events including music, theater, circus, dance, poetry, family festivals and children’s programs with artists from Cuba, Bali, Brazil, Israel, Japan, Mexico, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Spain, Sweden, and other lands. Yerba Buena Gardens is located between Mission Street and Howard Street and 3rd and 4th Streets in downtown San Francisco.
