Discover award winning Vezér Family wines from rustic wine country, the Suisun Valley AVA
On September 10 The International Culinary Center welcomes Vezér Family Vineyard. Vezér produces exquisite wines from a fertile valley framed between two mountain ranges located just 12 minutes from downtown Napa.

With special guest from Vezér Family Vineyard, sommelier Ron Plunkett

Each week, The International Culinary Center hosts a Food and Wine Pairing Series composed of wine tasting seminars and tutored pairing dinners. Learn the principles of wine and food pairing in a short lecture led by International Culinary Center Master Sommelier Roland Micu. Discover Vezér’s wine philosophy as you taste through a few of their acclaimed wines as Roland and Ron Plunkeet,Vezér’ssommelier,explain how the Suison Valley terroir helps create these unique wines.

Afterward, proceed to The International Culinary Center's private dining room—the Monte Bello. You'll enjoy a three-course wine pairing dinner, prepared by our students, while Roland and Ron discuss each of their handpicked wine selections.

About Vezér Family Vineyard

Part of the greater North Coast AVA (American Viticulture Area), the Suisun AVA received its distinction in 1982 as a premier grape-growing region.This warmer region produces heartier fruit that is heavily sourced by Napa Valley vintners.

With a family history in wine dating back to 1938, the Vezér family established their winery in the Suisun Valley in 2001. Known for their Petite Sirah and Zinfandel, the Vezér Family Vineyard has received accolades in blind tastings against other well-established wineries. Their award winning wines are complex and well-balanced. In addition to creating their own estate wines, their grapes help create such well-known wines as Ravenswood and Sin Zin.
