The Pacific Art League announces the opening of two new exhibitions. All are invited to celebrate at the opening reception Friday, February 6, from 5:30 to 8:00 PM. PAL is located at 668 Ramona Street, downtown Palo Alto. Free and open to the public.

Exhibition Dates: February 6 to 26, 2015

This exhibition of abstract art, jurried by Robert Poplack, Curator and Director of the Wiegard Gallery of Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, ranges in media from painting, drawing, photography, print and sculpture. The opening reception takes place Friday February 6th, from 5:30 to 8:00pm. Enjoy refreshments, and meet many of the artists.

Opening in the Corridor Gallery is a solo exhibition of Ron Andrews’ Digital Collage. Ron uses “photos he has taken at a particular location and combines them in a layered fashion with different blending and coloring algorithms”. His uses the location the photos were taken as the title for the piece. Ron often takes the same series of photos and combines them in multiple ways, playing with the variations and presenting the viewer with a new experience of the same location. Ron is a Palo Alto artist.

The galleries are open during regular hours: M-F, 9am to 5pm, Sat, 10am to 2pm; Closed Sundays

The Pacific Art League, founded in 1921, provides an environment for advancing the expression, appreciation and enjoyment of the arts.
