Description
With breakneck blast beats and blistering guitar work, it makes sense that San Jose's newest grindcore outfit would choose to name themselves after a notorious cocaine kingpin. Coming at you like a blast of pure Colombian marching powder, Pablo Escobar brings the heat. Combining elements of grind, d-beat punk and black metal, the band deploys two throat-shredding vocalists--El Patron and Bones--who take turns delivering guttural growls and banshee screeches, while the rest of the band shreds as fast and dissonantly as possible. After listening to the quintet's hyper-violent tunes, you'll be left wondering whether Don Pablo gave you a taste of his booger sugar or socked you in the nose.
