Description
A product of the Cincinnati neighborhood of the same name, Over the Rhine has been making quiet and lovely music for the last two decades. Originally a quartet, the band is now a duo, made up of husband-and-wife multi-instrumentalist team Linford Detweiler and Karin Bergquist. A lyrically and compositionally intelligent outfit whose influences are as much literary as musical, the independently-minded band makes layered and intimate music that hovers somewhere between underground rock and chamber folk and reveals hidden treasures with every listen.
