Join Voice of Witness at SomaR Bar in Oakland for a happy hour and raffle benefitting the scholarship fund for 'Our Town, Our Stories', an experiential, community-focused enrichment program that engages high school students with oral history, journalism, digital media, and the arts in a hands-on, collaborative setting.Come learn about our work with Oakland teens, meet our staff, and enter to win great prizes in our raffle! Voice of Witness is a non-profit organization published by McSweeney's that uses oral history to illuminate contemporary human rights crises in the U.S. and around the world through a book series and Education Program.
