"Orange Tulip Conspiracy originated in 2004 as a studio project by longtime Estradasphere guitarist Jason Schimmel. In the making of the OTC album, which spanned from 2004-08, over twenty musicians are credited with varying degrees of involvement. The heavily produced nature of the album showcases some unusual instruments such as dilruba, harpsichord, theater organ, bazooki, mellotron, clavinet, vibraphone, and prepared guitar. Compositional devices such as through-composed arrangements and unique orchestrations also give this album its flavor. As the tour lineup features musicians from many different backgrounds, within the live context OTC strives to fuse contrasting styles like be-bop jazz, klezmer, surf, and progressive rock elements. Presently OTC is headed out on a west coast tour this November to promote the debut album."- myspace.com
