Description

Tonight, Friday, November 14th

A very special event, as 2 of the Burning Man community's biggest music and artistic collectives come together for the first time to throw a joint all night benefit for their efforts. Mission Rock cafe, with 4 areas of sound, including 2 dance floors outside, will be taken over by a colorful eclectic playa-tastic crowd. And with the weather being perfect for an outdoor party, it's going to be a special night.

The Opulent Temple, the biggest sound installation by night meets the Deep End, the undisputed kings of the day.

Both camps have woven themselves into the essential fabric of the Burning Man experience for many of the dance music enthusiasts who attend the unique desert festival. With huge sound systems, world class DJ talent, creations of their own building, and huge community support, these camps spend thousands of dollars every year to offer a gift to the Burning man community. Unlike other art installations though, they get no support from the BM org even though many people now go to the event for these camps.

Thus, the aptly named 'Music is Art' event will raise money to help them settle their debts from this previous year's BM experience, where once again their popularity rivaled any art installation on the playa.

With all the DJ's playing for free and a guaranteed fun crowd of Burners.

Featuring Opulent Temple residents : Syd Gris, Dutch, Vinkalmann, Dex Stakker, Dulce Vita, Billy Casazza, DJ Icon, Jeff Taisch

being joined by the Deep End residents: Kramer, Clarkie, Layne Loomis, J-Rod, Ben Seagren, Zach Moore, Mike Giannini, Matt Hosely, Matt Kramer,

+ special guests Smoove, Murphstar, and Tamo.

If you're going out Friday night, this is the place to be.
