With many options to choose from, we can help you build your own unique look! Optical Illusions offers complete optical services at its San Jose showroom, from glaucoma testing to eye health analysis using state of the art equipment. Optometrists and opticians
Optometrists are Doctors of Optometry (O.D.). They are trained medical professionals with more schooling than opticians, who fit and dispense lens prescriptions. An optometrist is an independent primary health care provider who has been trained to conduct examinations for glaucoma, to diagnose diseases of the eye and write prescriptions. An optician is a health professional trained to manufacture, fit and dispense eye wear, including eyeglass lenses and contact lenses based on a doctor's prescription. Opticians can fill a lens prescription, adjust eyeglasses and fit contact lenses. They cannot examine eyes or prescribe glasses, contact lenses or medication.
