Description
UC Santa Cruz's award-winning Opera Program is proud to present one of opera's most beloved works in a fully-staged production featuring the UCSC Orchestra. "Cosi fan tutte," compsed by the great Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, tells the story of Guglielmo and Fernando, two army officers who are madly in love with two sisters, Fiordiligi and Dorabella. Guglielmo's and Fernando's acquaintance Don Alfonso, an older and wiser man, questions their confidence and lays a bet that their girlfriends would turn their affections elsewhere given half a chance, not because of who they are but merely because they are women. The men agree to allow Don Alfonso two days to prove his point, if he can.
