Studio 3579's art gallery series is going strong, with a show of all new work by local artist Zach Houston.
About Zach Houston:
Zach Houston sells poetry for a living to support his interest in "art" and to eat/pay rent. Ricocheting between linguistics, psychology, pataphysics, John Cage, situationists, Buckminster Fuller, ancient civilizations, contemporary conspiracy theory, and taking cues from Mark Lombardi, Paul Laffoley, and Kenneth Patchen, his visual art reflects the insights gained by writing spontaneous guerilla typewriter poetry as a job for four years and is audience as well as site specific. For this show he presents a series of pieces specific to Studio 3579, centered around the theme of even & odd numbers, dualism, work/leisure, and sequences like written language, seasons, or waiting in line to buy ice cream. He is Californian.
