Description
On Sunday, November 23 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at History Park, the Zanker House will be home to the African American Heritage House (AAHH).A brief dedication of the Zanker House as the site of the first African American Heritage House will be held at 2:30 p.m. A reception immediately following will include refreshments and jazz entertainment. The AAHH is the dream of Lula Briggs Galloway, who was born in San José but moved away and founded a Juneteenth museum in Michigan. She returned and decided that the African American heritage project needed a place to call home. Briggs Galloway was the CEO of the National Association of Juneteenth Lineage, Inc.
