This class provides a well-rounded understanding of the sandal-making process with an emphasis on design and customisation to achieve a stylish mid-heel personalised pair of sandals.The style you make will be very contemporary and has been developed to get maximum comfort with an elegant touch, using the best leather and high-quality resourced materials.
Attendances will be able to design and customize many elements of the sandal such as leather colours, straps, socks, heel covers, lining and rivets, creating a pair of unique professional-made sandals which will be admired by friends and shoe fans.
Students will get a general understanding of the sandal-making process and learn a wide range of shoemaking skills including lasting, sewing, skiving and clicking.
All the materials are included in the course, but students are invited to bring their own fabrics and leathers to make different combinations. Students will walk away with a pair of sandals made with a very personal touch!
