Description
Egyptian-born actor and comedian Omar Elba will headline this gala fundraiser. Elba pokes fun at Islamaphobia and being brown in the U.S. He is currently on the Showtime special "Legally Brown" and can soon be seen on NBC in the documentary, "The Muslims Are Coming!". Attendees will also get to hear local poets, David Glick and Lorene Zouzounis read selections from their work. Additionally there will be a silent auction, wine raffle and gormet middle eastern hors-d'oeuvres.Proceeds will be used to support projects that advance the cause of peace and justice for both Palestinians and Israelis.
