Description

Redwood City brings an exciting new event on October 11th 2014 to Courthouse Square: Oktoberfest Redwood City, featuring a fabulous traditional German Oktoberfest setting in a huge tent - complete with over 1,100 feet of "family style" bench seating - lots of fun and merriment, music, dancing, contests, cold beer and other beverages, food, and more!

A $15 entrance fee ($10 for Kids & Designated Drivers) includes a commemorative stein & 1 drink ticket (beer or soda depending on ticket type), along with great German-style entertainment during two different seating times, either 11:00am-3:00pm or 4:30pm-8:30pm.

The true tradition of Munich’s famous annual festival comes to Downtown Redwood City! Our Oktoberfest extravaganza offers the best in authentically delicious German food, enticingly cold beer, dancing, singing and tons of audience participation including dance contests, stein holding, yodeling contest, skits with hand gestures to select songs, etc., not to mention many variations of the “international” chicken dance. Delicious German food and extra drink tickets will be sold separately.

This event will be so authentic that you will think you’re in Munich! Join us on October 11th for a wonderful fall celebration, unique to the Bay Area.

Oktoberfest Downtown Redwood City features:
• Live Music with AlpinersUSA - 5 piece Band
• Brimming Steins of Delicious Brews on Tap
• Traditional German Oktoberfest Décor
• Tasty German Delights: pretzels, brats, sauerkraut, German potato salad and great beer!
• Fun, Games, and Singing/Dancing Competitions

With authentic yodeling by vocalist and native Bavarian, Margot Turrell, AlpinersUSA performs on par with the best local groups you would encounter in and around the home of Oktoberfest, Munich, Germany, or towns and local folk festivals throughout Austria. Playing everything from Oktoberfest standards like Beer Barrel Polka, to Van Morrison's Brown-Eyed Girl or big band In the Mood like you've never heard it played, or one of their originals like Oktoberfest Blues, AlpinersUSA offers something for everyone in the audience.
