Fiesta, Fantasy, and FugueSunday, March 16, 2014 • 7pm
Our fantastic March concert includes the wonderful La Fiesta Mexicana by H. Owen Reed, Clare Grundman’s Fantasy on American Sailing Songs, and Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D. minor, scored for wind band by Donald Hunsberger. We’ll liven things up with Frank Ticheli’s Vesuvius and Shostakovich’s Galop, and come back to earth with Shenandoah’s Simple Gifts by Larry Clark.
