ODC Family Day 2012

Description

On Sunday, August 26, ODC welcomes anyone with an interest in dance to its annual Family Day. Family Day is a special open house for children and adults of all ages to learn more about the ODC School Youth and Teen Program. Visit the ODC Dance Commons, sample free classes, enjoy refreshments and talk to faculty and returning parents about our program. Placement classes for ballet and contemporary classes will take place for new students with dance experience who are interested in enrolling in the fall curriculum.

Free Seminar on College Dance Programs
Presenters for this year’s seminar include current students and alumni from various dance programs, local high school career counselor and dancer Leslie Jenkins-Wax and ODC School Director Kimi Okada. The seminar aims to help demystify the many and varied college dance and summer programs available around the country, discussing majors, minors, contemporary, ballet and performing programs and more.

Our dance program is dedicated to high quality technical training within a non-competitive environment and offers access to many forms of dance including Creative Dance, Contemporary, Ballet, Hip Hop, African, Tap, and more!
