Oakland, CA (December 2008) – Oakland Events will be celebrating Change in 2009 by hosting a quality New Year’s Eve Party at the Washington Inn in Historic Old Oakland on Wednesday, December 31st, 2008 from 9pm to 2am. The party will feature Oakland-based funk/soul artist FEMI performing with the Punk Funk Mob and Jaime Starr as well as DJ James Glass spinning his collection of rare grooves, funk & breakbeats throughout the night.Admission includes an OPEN BAR, live music, DJ’s, party favors, champagne toast, and a LATE NIGHT BUFFET. Dress to impress (semi-formal attire). Tickets are $99-$125 each if purchased in advanced. Tickets and purchasing information are available at http://www.oaklandevents.net. Proceeds from this event will allow Oakland Events to continue to bring free community events and festivals to Oakland neighborhoods and commercial districts.
