Oakland Based PAC to hold District 3 City Council and At Large Candidate Debate

Oakland, California- The ‘Town Political Action Committee (TPAC), will host candidates from District 3 City Council and At-Large for a debate on Wednesday, October 10, 2012. The debate is set to be held at 6:30 pm in the auditorium of McClymonds high school, which is located at 2607 Myrtle Street, Oakland, Ca 94607. This is a public event, all are welcome to attend and witness candidates discuss pertinent issues facing District 3.

The TPAC is comprised of young professionals focused on Education, Public Safety and Business Development in the communities in Oakland.

“It is the mission of The Town Political Action Committee (TPAC) to galvanize the citizens of the City of Oakland into supporting candidates and legislation that will, above all else, make the City of Oakland a better and safer place. To do so, both candidates and legislation must focus on promoting and sustaining lucrative business development, creating smart and bold health and safety initiatives, and ensuring that Oakland’s youth are serviced with a first rate education.”

The TPAC has previously hosted The Best of Oakland Awards, as well as fundraisers in support of OUSD School Board Candidates Richard Fuentes (District 3) and Alice Spearman (District 7) earlier this year. This is one of many events that will take place hosted and sponsored by TPAC in the on going pursuit of a Better Safer Oakland.
